Mount Pleasant
This picture shows the gorgeously
restored interior of Chicago Aurora & Elgin #320, at the Midwest Electric
Railway Museum in Mt. Pleasant, Iowa. Features like the stained-and-varnished
mahogany walls, full empire ceiling and stained-glass windows were fully
restored by MERM workers. Made mostly of wood, #320 was obsolete
the day it was rolled out of the Jewett shop in 1914.
