Eastern Massachusetts
Street Railway
A 4300 series car passes
thru the Middlesex Fells Reservation on its route from Stoneham to Sullivan
Square elevated station. This series cars had 3 notch controllers and automatic
accelaration compared to the 4200 class with the standard 9 notch controllers
. The 4200 class cars ran faster as a result and were used on longer lines.
All cars were built by Laconia Car Co. of N.H. in 1917.
