Car 90 in downtown Sanford
on July 17, 1939 was purchased second hand from the East Taunton Street
Ry in Taunton, MA. This car made the national news when, with its destination
sign rolled to "River" as it is in this picture, it jumped the tracks and
wound up suspended over the RIVER in mid air!
