JAMESTOWN WESTFIELD &
NORTHWESTERN
Steeple cab locomotive 500
is a clone of a Baldwin Westinghouse that was built in 1927 in the company
shops in Jamestown by the local craftsmen. Looks like they did a good job
because the loco lasted until diesels took over in 1947. By 1950
the diesels were done and the line was ripped up in its entirety. The trucks
won out.
