New York Museum of Transportation
This is a very neat car.
It is Elmira Corning & Waverly #107, a 1911 Jewett wood interurban
coach preserved at the New York Museum of Transportation south of Rochester.
The neat thing about #107 is that when it was retired in 1930, it was made
into a cabin - nothing unusual, except that #107 retained its trucks and
nearly all underbody equipment! It survived as an example of early
interurban design until acquired by the Magee Trolley Museum in 1970, which
later dissolved (literally) due to the effects of Hurricane Agnes.
