#710 was built by Barney
& Smith Car Co. in 1901, as passenger car 254 and was rebuilt to 710
by IC&E in 1922, as a line car. The location is the Lima, Ohio
car barn. This is the line car that collided on August 10, 1935,
with C&LE high-speed 128 about 4 miles north of Springfield, killing
7 people, including the motorman of 128 who had missed pulling in a siding
for a meet. 710 was scrapped after the wreck.
