#710 was built by Barney & Smith Car Co. in 1901, as passenger car 254 and was rebuilt to 710 by IC&E in 1922, as a line car.  The location is the Lima, Ohio car barn.  This is the line car that collided on August 10, 1935, with C&LE high-speed 128 about 4 miles north of Springfield, killing 7 people, including the motorman of 128 who had missed pulling in a siding for a meet.  710 was scrapped after the wreck.
