Columbus
OHIO ELECTRIC
Beginning the night of March
23, 1913, a torrential flood destroyed much of the interurban network between
Columbus , Dayton and Hamilton. An Ohio Electric box motor was overturned
in downtown Dayton as a result.
The Ohio Electric declared
bankruptcy in 1921, was broken up and the main line became the Cincinnati
and Lake Erie R.R. in 1929.
