#15 which was built by American Car in 1918.
Downtown Astoria suffered
a huge and very devastating fire on Sept 8, 1922 which destoryed most of
the business section of the city. The destruction was so complete
that the streetcar service was never restored. This photo was taken
after the fire when the cars were being sold for junk.
