Unknown car at St. Lambert.
June 2, 1956
This would be from the last
days of operation with the Victoria Bridge under reconstruction for the
planned St Lawrence Seaway. Included was the replacement of the rail
line on the downstream side of the bridge with a roadway. Operations
were changed so that both the line to Marieville and the local operation
into Longueil ended below the St Lambert railway station and a local train
provided connection into Montreal over the bridge. The stairs in
the background led from the temporary terminus up to the CN platform.
