Chattanooga
In the 1920s the Twin City
Rapid Transit Company built cars for other cities such as Chicago, Grand
Rapids, Michigan, Evansville, Indiana, Chattanooga, Tenn. and Lynchburg,
Va. These cars were built under the name Lightweight Noiseless Car
Company and most specimens had trucks with herringbone gears instead of
the conventional direct drive gearing found on trolley cars. Here
is the lone Chattanooga car in its later years sporting conventional Brill
trucks.
