Knoxville
In 1924, Cincinnati Car
Co. built 6 curved side city cars for Knoxville and they were unusual because
they had green plush seating and a mail slot on the side of the car allowing
people to flag down their mail box for instant pickup. An additional
12 curved siders were built in 1928. Cars were numbered 351-356 and
361-372. Here
is car 361 on January 10, 1941 on the Burlington line. The city abandoned
streetcar service on August 1, 1947.
