Superior
Douglas County Street Railway
The line was reorganized
as the Superior Rapid Transit Railway Co. in 1892, and it was finally absorbed
into the Duluth Street Railway in August, 1900. Douglas County Street Railway
#105 is Pullman Lot 665, 1 closed electric street car to plan 428-E, Green
and white exterior, ash interior, ordered 22 March 1890 and shipped 5 July
1890. The photo is a builder's shot at the Pullman plant. The car had motors
and controls removed at an early date, and was used as a trailer for a
number of years before being sold to St. Cloud MN in 1903. It ran
on that property for some time and may have lasted until WWI.
