PCC 1061 is outbound in the early 1940s on the Smithfield St Bridge at the crossover near the P&LE RR station. This crossover was used by the 32 shuttle to get to and from its route and South Hills Car House. The route ran along West Carson between Smithfield and West End Circle. New turns to and from the Tunnel and West Carson were installed in 1949 making the crossover obsolete. The 32-quit service within 3-years!
