PCC 1225, at Kennywood Park loops on September 1 1941, was one of four 1200-series PCCs to test two complete sets of experimental B3 trucks seen here. PCCs 1613 and 1614 received the experimental B3s when converted for interurban service in 1946 and still experienced modifications until the final configuration was almost identical to the production models. Nevertheless, many parts were unique and the trucks were replaced with B2s after the interurbans were truncated within Allegheny County in 1953.
