1600 is the post-WW2 All-Electric PCC Demonstrator, and is at Craft Ave Car House, circa 1954. While PRCo Ordered 1600-1699 as Air-Electric cars as Job 1646 from St Louis Car, the order was amended to include the All-Electric demonstrator, this car, under Job 1646A. 1600 was delivered on September 5 1945 after 28 of the 99 air cars were delivered. Pride in new equipment saw 1600 rotated on almost every line system-wide with final assignment to Craft Car House. 1600 was nicknamed the Queen Mary since she was one-of-a-kind; as such, she was different and not much liked. Sent to Homewood for an heavy overhaul, she was destroyed in the May 1955 Homewood Shop fire
