Interurban 1618 at newly constructed Simmons Loop for the Library line on the former Charleroi Interurban. This is a Sunday when equipment is interlined; the next outbound trip is to Drake on the Washington line. We can tentatively date the photo to between June 1953, when Charleroi was truncated here, to the end of September 1953 when the Washington line was truncated at Drake. 1618 still sports the spare trolley pole strapped to the cowling. As the spare pole was not removed immediately, it is also possible this is post Washington abandonment.
