1756 on Route 42/38 outbound at Biltmore on the original 42-DORMONT line on September 4 1980. Raleigh Avenue is behind the car where the children are and on the other side of the tracks is Greenmount. The next stop for the Dormont car would be the end of the line at the wye. Owl cars starting at 130 AM were through routed to Mt. Lebanon every hour. Daytime through routing first started on Saturdays only and then permanently at all times. In good ol PRCo days, 1756 would have stopped at the line pole before crossing Biltmore to set a clock showing the arrival time. The same would be done for the leaving time inbound. This was true on all PRCo routes but the practice was discontinued sometime in the 60s. Now, this location is the first station inbound of the Mt. Lebanon tunnel on the LRV route. The LRVs emerge from the tunnel under the old Dormont wye to the right out of the picture.
