The photographer is standing at the intersection of Hay St and Rebecca Ave to record a 1700-series car on the Hay St passing siding at the Rt 75 Wilkinsburg terminal. This siding was frequently used for "put on time" cars. These were extra cars positioned at the outer terminals of some east end routes to help put the service back on time.
