GG-1
4876 at Altoona
4876 is the most famous
GG-1 (after the 4800) as it is the one that ran
through the Washington Union
Station and into the basement. They carried it out in baskets and
reassembled and rewired it in Altoona. This is how it looked after
it was released back into service.
