Ex-Commonwealth Edison 4 is a very unusual electric locomotive, seen here on June 18 2004.
Built by General Electric in 1911, it was one of only three articulated-truck steeplecabs built by GE (the other two were ComEd 5 and Wilkes-Barre & Hazleton 400)
The body sits atop the trucks, which are connected through a center pin, and the buffing forces are transmitted through the truck frames.
