Ex-Chicago Surface Lines "Bowling Alley" 1467 was built by Chicago Union Traction in 1899. Rebuilt in the 1920s by the Surface Lines, the car eventually became a salt car for CTA and operated until the late 1950s.
It was acquired by the Electric Railway Historical Society, which dismantled it, along with all of its stored components, and later the car was acquired by the Illinois Railway Museum in 1973. seen here on March 13 2004
