Ex-Illinois Terminal 170 is a standard Birney single-truck car built in 1921 by the American Car Company. Originally Galesburg (IL) Railway Lighting & Power 7, it was later acquired by the IT and used in Alton city service. After retirement it was used as an office in the St Louis subway, from which it was rescued in 1957 by the Illinois Railway Museum. It is shown cosmetically restored and on display at IRM on March 13 2004
