The only surviving parlor-observation car from the Illinois Terminal is this 1910-vintage car, 234, seen here on April 10 2004. It is also the only existing car built by the Danville Car Company.
This car was part of the 1911 train that carried President Taft over the Illinois Traction System.
It was retired in 1956 and acquired by the Illini Railroad Club, which sold it in 1968 to the Illinois Railway Museum where it is now on display.
