Ex-Milwaukee Electric B-48 is a homebuilt snow sweeper dating from 1926. It operated until the late 1950s clearing Milwaukee streets of snow, after which it was transferred to the Wisconsin Electric Power Company Lakeside Power Plant.
In 1972, The Wisconsin Electric Railway Historical Society in East Troy acquired B-48, and when TWERHS folded in 1989, the snow sweeper was sold to the Illinois Railway Museum where it is shown on March 13 2004
