Ex-Pacific Electric 179 is a Submarine, part of a series of center-entrance cars that PE acquired in 1913, a year after the cars were built by Pullman for the Southern Pacific Oakland suburban service. The car was capable of either 600-volt or 1200-volt operation and ran until it was retired in 1928. The carbody was acquired by OERM in 1974, and is seen here on August 7 2004.
