Traction Around North America in the Early-2000s

The only streetcar at the Virginia Museum of Transportation in Roanoke VA is ex-DC Transit 1470. This PCC car was built by St Louis in 1945, and seen here on May 30 2001. Despite obvious neglect, the basic structure of the car is in very good shape. A nice cosmetic restoration could make this car a real beauty.
