Car 1042 and another car on a special Labor Day charter, part of the 1951 National Railway Historical Society convention activities. The charter traveled to Montreal North and Cartierville. Built in 1902 by the Montreal Street Railway for the Montreal Park & Island Railway, 1042 originally wore an orange paint scheme and was used on the MP&I's outlying routes. The MSR, which took control of the MP&I in 1901, was reorganized as the Montreal Tramways Company in 1911. Car 1046 in the same series has been preserved at Exporail, the Canadian railway museum just south of Montreal.
