Car 1867 is running on the 17-Cartierville line on June 5 1959. Its seen at the Garland Terminus north side loop, the southern end of the route. Although most of the area along the line was built up quickly after World War II, a lot of the route was still on a private right-of-way. Montreal cars were unique in not having headlights. Since the 1930s there were light bulbs under the front cowling below the windshield but they mostly lit the advertisements. Portable headlights were placed on cars, which ran on outlying routes with lots of running on private rights-of-way. Service ended in June 1959 on this route. All regular streetcar service ended in Montreal August 30 1959.
