Car 1951 is part of the second order of one-man cars placed with Canadian Car & Foundry in May 1926. There were 15 cars in the order with another 40 being ordered in the following year. In 1942, the company received a suggestion to paint the one-man cars completely red instead of cream with red trim. 1951 was chosen and operated in that red paint scheme for two years. With no reaction one way or the other from the public, the car was painted back into its original one-man colors of cream with red trim, a color scheme harder to keep clean than the darker red would have been. The car might be on a 1951 excursion charter for the National Railway Historical Society convention.
