Pekin
Pekin Municipal Railway
The Pekin Municipal Railway operated a 3-mile long streetcar line, using two American Car Company single-truck streetcars and three St. Louis Car Company single truck Birneys until November 10, 1935 (after the citizens had voted in a referendum to convert to buses). 109, 108 and 106, are three of the five Pekin Municipal streetcars stored outside on the remaining streetcar trackage (after service ended) across from the Corn Products Plant (which is in the background on this photo) at the south end of the line by the carbarn during the first part of 1936.
