PATCO
Lindenwold High Speed Line
PATCO 404, work train locomotive on the Ben
Franklin Bridge, July 1, 2001, for the 75th anniversary of the bridge.  404 was built by Baldwin-Westinghouse in 1937 as a Class S 60 ton switching locomotive
as Niagara Junction Railway No. 9.  It has four 140 hp WH308fe motors.  It was purchased by PATCO in 1973, and restored to service in 1974 after having been converted to third rail (from pantograph, and originally also had a trolley pole). It has been used occasionally by PATCO as a work train locomotive.  In 1974 it was painted red with silver trim.  It was repainted in 2001 a blue/green.  It is seen here with Bridge cars 1008-1015.
