PATCO
Lindenwold High Speed
Line
Here are Delaware River
Joint Commission cars 1008
and 1015 on the Ben Franklin
Bridge, July 1, 2001, for the 75th anniversary of the bridge and 65th anniversary
of the Bridge High Speed Line. The cars were built by the J. G. Brill Co.
of Philadelphia in 1936, and have four
WH555A1 motors of 105 hp
each. They were retired from passenger service 12/28/68 and converted
to PATCO work cars 401 and 402. They have been out of
service for over 12 years
and are not operable. They were repainted in DRJC colors of blue-gray
with silver trim for the anniversary and hauled up onto the
bridge by locomotive 404
(ex Niagara Jct. Ry. No. 9).
1015 ought to have been
numbered 1013.
