One
of only three "Little Joe" electric locomotives surviving is this
beautifully painted example
from the South Shore interurban line, #802. Built in 1948 by GE, this and
19 others like it were built for the Soviet Union but were never delivered
due to the advent of the Cold War. It ended up serving the South
Shore until the early 1980's, when it was retired and sold to the B&O
Railroad Museum. It is on semipermanent loan to the Lake Shore Railway
Museum.
