The photographer looks east on Fifth Avenue across Smithfield at an inbound 82-Lincoln which is possibly a 2-car train. Trains were mostly extinct in the 1930s; they passed early in Pittsburgh It was not until the very early 1930s that final route arrangement was obtained with little if any changes later.
