Ex-South Shore 19 was built by Pullman in 1927, and later heavily rebuilt in the South Shore Michigan City Shops. This car was lengthened by nearly 20 feet, but did not include air conditioning. The car was on the Farewell to the Orange Cars fantrip and was preserved by the National Park Service from 1984-1987, and moved to the Illinois Railway Museum in 1987. It is seen here on April 10 2004
