Ex-Pacific Electric 332 is one of the standard operating cars at OERM, seen here on August 7 2004. The car has an interesting history: built by Brill in 1918 as part of PEs first order of Birneys (originally number 362), it was used in city system until retired in 1940. At that time the car, along with 331, was sold to Metro Goldwyn-Mayer movie studios for use as a prop (one of these two cars appeared in Singing in the Rain among other films). In 1966 OERM acquired both cars, which restored 331. This car, which was in worse shape, was sent to Old Pueblo Trolley in Tucson, Arizona on a ten-year lease in 1985, where it was restored as Tucson Street Railway 10. It has since been returned to OERM and put into service in its Tucson livery.
